Its unique design resulted in it delivering some of the best performance among all fighter aircraft flown in WWII. The HobbyZone P-51D Mustang 450mm is a scale replica of the legendary U.S. Army Air Corps fighter that makes learning to fly radio controlled (RC) airplanes in more places and smaller spaces easy and fun! Its ultra-micro size makes it an ideal choice for a smaller trainer model that can be flown in large yards, parks, soccer fields, and other suitable spaces where larger models can’t typically be flown successfully by first-time pilots. Best of all, it’s equipped with Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope (SAFE) technology that helps to prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation, and crashes so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully! Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced flight modes allow you to choose the level of stability and control you need, or are ready to try, at the flip of a switch.

And the fun doesn't stop while or after you learn how to fly! The lightweight yet extremely durable EPP airframe is equipped with a powerful electric motor that delivers long flight times and provides plenty of speed and power to perform aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls, and even inverted (upside down) flight in the Experienced mode. Or, if you’re not ready to perform aerobatics on your own, the P-51 can automatically perform single or even multiple loops or rolls in the Beginner or Intermediate flight modes with just a quick press of the “Aerobatics” button and by moving the control stick in the desired direction!

This Ready-To-Fly (RTF) model includes everything needed to fly in one box and is a perfect choice if you're a new RC pilot. From the 5-channel 2.4GHz controller/transmitter and the AA batteries for it, to the two 1S 400mAh rechargeable Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries and a convenient charger that can be used with a variety of USB power sources, there's nothing extra you need to buy or provide! And after you learn to fly the P-51D Mustang 450mm successfully you can move up to a larger and more capable trainer or a “Skill Level 2 – Next Step After A Trainer” model.

This Ready-To-Fly (RTF) model includes a controller/transmitter equipped with 2.4GHz technology and everything else you need to fly including AA batteries for the transmitter, two rechargeable lithium polymer batteries for the airplane, and a USB charger. Fully Finished

The P-51D Mustang 450mm arrives 100% factory-finished with a unique and fully-painted red, white, and blue trim scheme based on a full-scale P-51. It’s also fully factory-assembled and ready to fly right out of the box. That means you can be flying in just the time it takes to charge the battery!

Durable Design

The unique “pop off” prop saver design plus construction with advanced EPP material delivers a lightweight yet incredibly durable airframe that's tough enough to handle everyday flying punishment without getting bent out of shape. A spare propeller is included, and in the unfortunate event you damage any airframe parts or components and can't repair them, a replacement airframe and spare parts are readily available.

Capable Gear

Taxi over, take off from, and land on smooth surfaces using the included landing gear with a tailwheel in the scale location. Or, leave the landing gear off to easily hand launch over then land on grass or other suitable surfaces.
